Spicy Chicken Livers

This spicy chicken livers recipe is a delightful fusion of bold flavors and tender textures. The livers are seared to perfection and then simmered in a rich, aromatic sauce made with onions, garlic, and a blend of spices. The result is a dish that is bursting with savory goodness and just the right amount of heat. Ingredients:

  • 500g chicken livers, cleaned and trimmed

  • 2 tablespoons olive oil

  • 1 onion, finely chopped

  • 2 cloves garlic, minced

  • 1 teaspoon paprika

  • 1/2 teaspoon cayenne pepper

  • 1/2 teaspoon ground cumin

  • Salt and pepper to taste

  • 2 tablespoons tomato paste

  • 1/4 cup chicken broth

  • Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)



Instructions:

  1. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add chopped onions and minced garlic, sauté until softened and fragrant.

  2. Add cleaned chicken livers to the skillet. Cook for about 5-7 minutes until they are browned on the outside but still slightly pink on the inside.

  3. Season with paprika, cayenne pepper, ground cumin, salt, and pepper. Stir well to coat the livers evenly with the spices.

  4. Add tomato paste to the skillet and stir to combine with the chicken livers.

  5. Pour in chicken broth and let the mixture simmer for another 5-7 minutes until the livers are cooked through and the sauce has thickened slightly.

  6. Garnish with freshly chopped parsley before serving.
