Ingredients:
1 French baguette, sliced into 1/2 inch pieces
8 oz (225 g) of good quality bacon, cut into bite-sized pieces
1 cup (about 150 g) of green or black olives, sliced
1/2 cup (about 120 ml) Jissie Sussie Hot Honey
1/2 cup (about 120 g) cream cheese or goat cheese, softened
Fresh parsley, chopped (optional for garnish)
Toothpicks
Instructions:
Prepare the Baguette Slices:
Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
Arrange the baguette slices on a baking sheet.
Bake for 5-7 minutes, or until they are lightly toasted. Set aside to cool.
Cook the Bacon:
In a skillet over medium heat, cook the bacon pieces until they are crispy.
Remove them from the skillet and place them on a paper towel-lined plate to drain the excess fat.
Assemble the Pintxos:
Spread a thin layer of cream cheese or goat cheese on each toasted baguette slice.
Drizzle each slice with a small amount of Jissie Sussie Hot Honey.
Top with a few slices of olives.
Add a piece of crispy bacon on top.
Secure everything with a toothpick.
Garnish and Serve:
Optional: Sprinkle with fresh chopped parsley for a touch of color and freshness.
Arrange the pintxos on a serving platter and drizzle a little more hot honey over them if desired.
Serve immediately and enjoy!
Tips:
For extra flavor, you can lightly brush the baguette slices with olive oil and sprinkle with a pinch of garlic powder before toasting.
Feel free to experiment with different types of olives and cheeses to find your favorite combination.
