Ingredients:
8 large jalapeños
120g cream cheese, softened
1/2 cup shredded cheddar cheese
4 slices of crispy bacon, crumbled
1/4 tsp garlic powder
1/4 tsp onion powder
Salt and pepper to taste
1/4 cup breadcrumbs (optional, for crunch)
2 tbsp grated Parmesan (optional)
Instructions:
Preheat the oven to 190°C (375°F) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
Prepare the jalapeños:
Slice the jalapeños in half lengthwise and remove the seeds and membranes (for less heat). If you want them spicier, leave some seeds.
Prepare the filling:
In a bowl, mix the softened cream cheese, shredded cheddar cheese, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper. Stir until well combined.
Fold in the crumbled crispy bacon.
Fill the jalapeños:
Spoon the cream cheese mixture into each jalapeño half, spreading it evenly.
Optional Crunch:
If using breadcrumbs, sprinkle a small amount on top of the filling for added crunch. Add a little grated Parmesan on top if desired.
Bake:
Place the stuffed jalapeños on the prepared baking sheet.
Bake for 15-20 minutes or until the jalapeños are tender, and the filling is bubbly and golden brown.
Serve:
Let them cool slightly before serving.
