Crispy Jalapeno Popper Bites Recipe


These crispy jalapeno popper bites are the ultimate appetizer or snack for any occasion. They feature a creamy and spicy jalapeno filling wrapped in a crispy coating, all cut into convenient squares for easy serving. Whether you're hosting a party or simply craving a savory treat, these popper bites are sure to be a hit!


Ingredients:

  • 8 large jalapeno peppers, halved and seeded

  • 1 cup cream cheese, softened

  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese

  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder

  • 1/2 teaspoon onion powder

  • 1/4 teaspoon paprika

  • Salt and pepper to taste

  • 1 cup all-purpose flour

  • 2 large eggs, beaten

  • 1 cup breadcrumbs

  • Oil for frying

Instructions:

  1. Preheat your oil in a deep fryer or heavy-bottomed pot to 175°C.

  2. In a mixing bowl, combine the softened cream cheese, shredded cheddar cheese, garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, salt, and pepper. Mix until well combined.

  3. Fill each jalapeno half with the cheese mixture, ensuring they are evenly filled.

  4. Set up a breading station with three shallow dishes: one with flour, one with beaten eggs, and one with breadcrumbs.

  5. Coat each filled jalapeno half in flour, then dip into the beaten eggs, and finally coat with breadcrumbs, pressing gently to adhere.

  6. Once all the jalapeno poppers are breaded, carefully place them in the preheated oil in batches, ensuring not to overcrowd the fryer. Fry for 2-3 minutes, or until golden brown and crispy.

  7. Remove the fried jalapeno poppers from the oil using a slotted spoon and transfer them to a paper towel-lined plate to drain excess oil.

  8. Allow the poppers to cool slightly before cutting them into squares using a sharp knife.
