Bruschetta with Crushed Chili Atchar

Ingredients:
For the Bruschetta:
1 baguette, sliced into 1/2-inch thick slices
2-3 cloves garlic, peeled and halved
3 tablespoons olive oil
Salt to taste
For the Topping:
2 cups cherry tomatoes, quartered
1/4 cup fresh basil leaves, finely chopped
1 tablespoon olive oil
1 tablespoon balsamic vinegar
Salt and pepper to taste
1/2 cup crushed chili atchar
Instructions:
Prepare the Bruschetta:
Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
Arrange the baguette slices on a baking sheet.
Brush each slice with olive oil and sprinkle lightly with salt.
Bake in the preheated oven for 8-10 minutes, or until the bread is golden and crisp.
Remove from the oven and immediately rub each slice with the cut side of the garlic cloves. Set aside to cool slightly.
Prepare the Topping:
In a medium bowl, combine the quartered cherry tomatoes, chopped basil, olive oil, balsamic vinegar, salt, and pepper. Mix well.
Let the mixture sit for about 10 minutes to allow the flavors to meld.
Assemble the Bruschetta:
Spoon the tomato mixture onto each toasted baguette slice.
Top with a small spoonful of crushed chili atchar.
Garnish with additional basil leaves if desired.
Serve:
Arrange the bruschetta on a serving platter and serve immediately.
